Purpose and scope
The passport records methods and limitations of geocoding, H3 aggregation, choropleths, territory comparisons and derived regional indicators. It does not confirm completeness, licence, freshness or official status of a specific dataset.
Methodological outline
Primary standards and documentation are compared with verifiable QazGeo implementation evidence; interface availability alone is not treated as evidence of data quality.
Five bounded claims
- bounded-geocoding
QazGeo returns verifiable territory candidates with explicit ambiguous, zero-result, boundary and reference_only states; the result is a match, not confirmation of an address or right.
- bounded-h3-aggregation
QazGeo uses H3 as a versioned and bounded spatial index for point aggregation and publishes area, resolution and count only together with the provenance of the source snapshot.
- bounded-choropleth-and-comparison
QazGeo binds a value to the canonical territory code, preserves absence as null, and presents regional comparison as a descriptive aggregate without individual or causal inference.
- traceable-derived-indicators
Every published QazGeo regional indicator is linked to owner, period, geography, unit, method, transformation, snapshot hash, limitation and correction path.
- interoperable-discovery-not-validity
QazGeo OGC Features and Records surfaces provide machine-readable discovery of and access to allowlisted resources, but they are not a claim of dataset completeness or validity.
